Speakers' Bureau

The Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary has in its Constitution: "to advance the theological and pastoral understanding of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Church" and "to promote and encourage ecumenical devotion."

With this emphasis, the Society would like to extend its hand to congregations and parishes to foster a better understanding not only of the goals of the ESBVM, but of the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. If we feel that it is through her that different Christian faiths will come closer together, then it is our duty to help educate those faiths that may not know or understand the Mother of Christ as those in the ecumenical movement have discovered. Toward that end, the Society is compiling a list of speakers who would be willing to present at the parish level, material sensitive to the better ecumencial understanding of Mary. We would like to offer this service not only to members' parishes, but also to any church that would be interested in the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Society would like your input and advice as to this new endeavor and perhaps your name to add to our list. It is our hope to be activein the ecumenical movement and to let Mary be the loving heart that gives all faiths better understanding of each other.
